TMT Bars
TMT (Thermo-Mechanically Treated) bars are heat-treated high-strength rebar with a hard outer core and a soft inner core. And it is also known as the metallurgical process. These TMT bars are manufactured to IS (Indian Standard) standards. In today’s market, FE 500 and FE 500D TMT bars are most commonly used for all high-rise buildings’ retail construction purposes. Many buildings around the world have collapsed due to the danger of fire. TMT bars absorb heat up to 600 degrees. For this, TMT steel bars are used. For all kinds of construction purposes, TMT bars are a must making any structure strong and durable.
TMT rods are thermo-mechanically treated using world-leading high-yield strength technology. In this process, a series of water jets rapidly quench the hot bar after it rolls out from its final stand. The bar cools down, equalizing core and surface temperatures. The rod core cools slowly and becomes a ferrite-pearlite aggregate. TMT bars are widely used in general-purpose concrete reinforced structures, bridges and overpasses, dams, thermal power plants, hydroelectric power plants, industrial buildings, skyscrapers, subway underground platforms, and rapid transit systems.

Why Choose Us
Bhagwandas & Co โ TMT bar dealers in Chennai offer widespread types of high-quality TMT bars of varied sizes, grades, and specifications. These TMT bars are tested in harsh corrosive media and rated for various corrosion resistances as per ASTM standards. The quality of these TMT rebars is tested by performing an immersion test, salt spray test, atmospheric exposure test, sulfur dioxide test, potentiodynamic test, etc. Our premium steel products are thermo-mechanically treated so that the bars have no residual torsional stress. This provides superior corrosion resistance compared to conventional bars.
