Narrow Parallel Flange Beam (NPB) is a structural steel I-section designed for applications where dependable strength, dimensional consistency and efficient structural performance are important. NPB sections have parallel flanges and are available in different depths, widths and weights to suit a variety of structural requirements. The NPB section series is covered under Indian structural steel standards, including IS 808.

NPB beams are commonly considered for steel structures, building frames, fabrication work, industrial structures and other engineering applications where structural steel sections are required. Their parallel flange configuration can also simplify connection and fabrication work compared with traditional tapered-flange sections.
